Port Giles
29th July 2018
Port Giles is just a large set of silos and a long jetty. At first we thought we couldn't get to the jetty as the whole complex looked locked. But there was a pedestrian gate that was only closed - we could push it open and then walk down the road to the jetty. It is only possible to walk part-way along the jetty before it is blocked by a gate.
Walking back, near the base of the jetty, we noticed a colony of seals on the rocks. There were a few seals in the water. They were beyond a fence where they can't be disturbed.
